This weeks weather has been amazing.
Besides the fact my kids school is closed for the third day, its the way business has closed down.
Meetings have been cancelled, staff can't get in. Yesterday made me laugh - outside my office, the Group is full of suited and booted people - but yesterday there was a high proportion of jeans and cable knit sweaters - cancelled meetings+cold weather=a casual and practical clothing choice.
Of course the best thing for us Brits this week was the ability to indulge in our 2 favourite past times: moaning and talking about the weather - perfect!
We've been open all week, as have lots of other PR depts and agencies. My wife does some research for a journalist and did a valentines lingerie call-in on Monday - everyone she called was in and could fulfil the call-in.
I know us PRs have a reputation of being a bit weak and fluffy, but we are actually a hardy bunch - no blizzard is going to stop us from sending out naughty lingerie!

A hardy bunch? Are you including yourself in that? That's why you were building snowmen and sledging on Monday while at least seven of your team soldiered into the office!

I dont' think it's the end of the world. According to NASA, what we are experiencing is just the effects of climate change.
